Abstract
A European cyprinid, Scardinius erythrophthalmus , the rudd, has been captured in waters connected to the Canadian side of the St. Lawrence River, and specimens of a European gobiid, the round goby, Neogobius melanostomus , in Canadian waters of the St. Clair River. Both are new to the freshwater fish fauna of Canada
