Abstract
This article considers the digital revolution that is taking place in information technology which, in many respects, is being led by the telecommunications networks and telecommunications industry. This is based on silicon technology but is not an overnight occurrence and certainly the digital revolution has its origins in the computer industry and digital transmission in the telecommunications junction network.
