Abstract

Faced with revolutionary slogans such as "there are no more privileges", or "all French are equal", it might be questioned whether they included women. In addition, and in any case, what was the ideology regarding them? How did they participate in the events? And, finally, what were the principles enunciated by Olympe de Gouges, a woman who captured the desires, dreams and aspirations of his contemporaries and bequeathed them to posterity through the well-known "Declaration of the rights of women and citizens"?
