Abstract

The continuous evolution of artificial intelligence (AI) technology has increasingly highlighted its application potential in the field of education, bringing both opportunities and challenges to the innovative development of oral English teaching in higher education. While existing research has largely explored the application scenarios of AI in English language teaching, including mechanisms for delivering personalized learning resources, less attention has been paid to the core components of personalized oral English teaching and their underlying interaction mechanisms. A coherent theoretical framework in this area remains underdeveloped. Based on the context of AI empowerment, this study systematically analyzes the constituent elements and internal operation mechanisms of personalized oral English teaching, deeply explores the practical dilemmas faced in its implementation, and accordingly proposes targeted optimization paths, including clarifying the core connotation of personalized oral English teaching, improving English teachers' digital literacy, and constructing an adaptive personalized teaching model. It is expected to provide references for the theoretical deepening and practical innovation in this field.
