PENGARUH FAKTOR STATUS SOSIAL EKONOMI TERHADAP PEMILIHAN MODA TRANSPORTASI UNTUK PERJALANAN KERJA DI KOTA PALEMBANG

Abstract

Mode choice is required due to decision making and transport planning. Efficiency of mode travels are related to level of service on each mode for work trip, such as private transport and public transport (conventional and online). The purpose of this research are to analyze the characteristic of passangers for work trip, to know socioeconomic factor and other factors that affecting mode choice for work trip, and to know the work trip mode choice model for passangers. In this research, questionnaire technique and revealed preference are being used to collect information from the passangers of work trip in Palembang City, also logit multinomial model is being choosen to analyze work trip mode choice models. Result of analyses indicate that the most mode frequently used are motorcycle (47.66%), private car (16.15%), ojek online (12.5%), angkot (10.16%), and transmusi (7.81%). Gender, age, house ownership, household electrical power, type of house material, monthly income, and travel time are factors that affecting mode choice for work trip. The best equation for private transport P(private transport) = 3.408-2.606 Gender 1 + 1.695 House Ownership 1 and the best equation for public transport P(public transport) =-0.
