Malignancies develop in 25 to 40% of people living with HIV (PLWH) and become the leading cause of morbidity and mortality in PLWH. Among HIV-associated malignancies more than 40% of HIV-positive people are eventually diagnosed with AIDS-associated lymphomas. Timely diagnosis and initiation of the specific therapy in patients with HIV-infection present significant difficulties due to the lack of specific lymphoma symptoms and possible comorbid infection with secondary infectious agents. A case report of HIV-associated lymphoma is present.
