Abstract
Media learning is one component supporting the success of the learning process. In learning, the teachers should use many appropriate resources and learning media so that students can understand the materials quickly and the learning process can be more effective. Engaging learning media is essential in improving students' interest and motivation in learning, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic, done online. This study aims to develop animation-based mathematics learning media on social arithmetic material in 7th grade. This research is development research with ADDIE models: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. One of the criteria used to evaluate media learning is the media should be valid, practical, and effective. The validity aspect relates to the suitability of developed learning media with supporting theories. The practicality is related to the easiness of creating learning media in the learning process. The effectivity is associated with the achievement of learning objectives. The study results are the video animation on social arithmetic material for junior high school students who met the valid, practice, and practical criteria.
