Abstract
The article examines modern approaches to implementing artificial intelligence technologies in the energy sector of Ukraine, with a special emphasis on their importance for the green transition and countering the challenges of global climate change. It is substantiated that AI contributes to the decentralization of energy systems, increasing their resistance to external influences and adaptability to changes in demand. The PESTLE method was used to analyze the prospects for introducing AI, allowing for a comprehensive assessment of political, economic, social, technological, legal, and environmental influence factors. The application of this method helped to identify key options and opportunities for the integration of AI in Ukraine's energy sector. The article proves that integrating AI into Ukraine's energy industry can significantly increase its energy efficiency, reduce dependence on fossil fuels, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and contribute to achieving climate goals. An essential part of the study is devoted to analyzing the Ukrainian experience in implementing AI, including examples of intelligent power grid management systems, smart meters, and cybersecurity solutions. It has been established that in the conditions of a full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation and the destruction of the energy infrastructure, the implementation of AI can become a driving force for the industry's recovery, strengthening its flexibility and energy security. A conclusion was made about the need for cross-sectoral cooperation, developing digital competencies, state support, and creating favorable conditions for attracting investments in AI technologies.
