Abstract

Vegetation management on a power line right of way requires extensive planning and field investigation to be successful. Foresters have successfully developed and carried out a vegetation management program over the extensive power line system of the Pennsylvania Electric Company. A detailed specification manual has been of great value to the success of the program. The future of chemical vegetation management holds many problems and challenges.
