Abstract

This case study presents to the reader the treatment performed to alleviate the shoulder pain of a viola player. Although a substantial part of the treatment was geared toward the rotator cuff musculature and glenohumeral joint, regions critical in the restoration of shoulder function, it appears that treatment to the latissimus dorsi and teres major muscles played a key role in the diminution of pain during viola playing.
