Examining family-level risks for Asian American youth during COVID-19.

Abstract

The findings of this study provide context into the mental health experiences of Asian American families during a global health crisis. The results work to inform researchers and practitioners on the ways in which ecological risk factors exacerbated anxiety symptoms of Asian American parents, and in turn, externalizing behaviors for Asian American youth during COVID-19. These findings advance and inform a deeper understanding of how parental mental health may continue to impact youth behavioral outcomes in an especially vulnerable minority group during a global pandemic.
