Abstract

In addition to the prevention of acute and chronic injuries, intensive rehabilitation comparable to professional sports is therefore of great importance in professional dance with health problems of the musculoskeletal system. In combination with general measures that contribute to recovery after injuries, taking dance-specific movement elements into account is the key to completely return to full working capacity in professional dance. The so-called transition dance class explained in this article is central as a form of training within the framework of gradual professional reintegration. It represents the transitional phase between general measures of rehabilitation and the return to full working capacity in the dance profession.
