Abstract

The EMCS is a powerful automated management tool for monitoring and controlling the energy consumption of a facility. Although only a few systems have been installed and the learning experiences have led to some problems, evidence indicates that the energy monitoring and control system will be a major contribution to the conservation efforts which must be implemented at all defense installations.
