Abstract

The Science and Politics of Global Climate Change is a fascinating hybrid of science and policy directed at a broad, or nonspecialist, audience that may not be well versed in the ongoing climate change controversy. The authors, scientists at heart who have worked in both academic and political settings, have the necessary background and credentials to write an authoritative primer on the subject. In doing so, they offer the public the opportunity to hear both sides of the debate, review the scientific evidence supporting or refuting competing arguments, and consider policy options in an unbiased presentation. Their fundamental aim is to develop a knowledgeable citizenry equipped to participate in the debate and help shape future climate change policy.
