Abstract

Background: Post-translational modification of Polycomb protein Cbx7 remains poorly understood. Results: Here we identify and characterize a novel phosphorylation site at threonine 118 of mouse Cbx7. Conclusion: MAPK signaling induces Cbx7 threonine 118 phosphorylation and enhances PRC1 association. Significance: Mitogen signaling to Cbx7 confers an additional layer of PRC1 regulation. © 2013 by The American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Inc. Published in the U.S.A.
