Abstract
This study aims to explore and analyze the application of realism education in learning for fourth grade students at SDN Bokor, Malang Regency. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with the research subjects being a grade IV teacher and three grade IV students selected using probability sampling techniques. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and analysis of lesson plan documents. The results showed that the implementation of realism education requires preparation by preparing lesson plans and finding concrete examples that are in accordance with students' daily lives. The teacher acts as a facilitator and involves students in situations related to the learning material, such as through demonstrations and role playing. This application aims to build students' understanding through direct experience, bridging the gap between theory and practice. Despite the success in creating student enthusiasm, the research also identified some barriers, such as an overly structured curriculum and lack of supporting facilities. To overcome these barriers, it is recommended to give teachers the freedom to integrate aspects of realism in lesson plans and involve parents and the local community
