Abstract

Indications of the occurrence of mutations can be gained from accurate mass measurements by electrospray ionization mass spectrometry. On-line coupling to liquid chromatography is essential for the application to real samples. By utilizing the coupled method, insertions, deletions, and point mutations are rapid discovered in DNA restriction fragments and PCR products.
