Abstract

Numerous studies have highlighted the advantages of female leadership in promoting investments in public infrastructure that enhance the well-being of women and children, as well as fostering women’s empowerment. The article finds that strengthening local governance and promoting female leadership have led to improvements in health outcomes while also enhancing women’s participation at the grassroots level in Bihar.
