Abstract

In this study, a high gain single controlled switch converter with continuous input current design and closed loop operation with parasitic elements have been developed. In compared to widely used converters like buck-boost, SEPIC, Cuk, and Zeta, the converter under consideration provides a high voltage gain. The main advantage of the converter includes its only controllable semiconductor switch and low voltage stress across the switches. The converter is suitable for solar photovoltaic (PV) use since a large filter at the input is not required as the input current is continuous here. The circuit analysis, converter design, closed loop simulation are given kn detail. The conceptual result is then verified with a prototype developed in the laboratory with arduino controller board.
