Abstract

The multilayer artificial neural network in the back propagation algorithm is commonly used as a tool for rainfall prediction. The result of its prediction is reliable and precise. In this study, rainfall prediction in the Gariyaband region in the state of Chhattisgarh, India has been predicted by using an artificial neural network Backward Propagation Algorithm tool. Three-layer models are used to study various characteristics of a hidden neuron in a network. It is observed that in the present value as the number of neurons increases in an artificial neural network the mean square error decrease. The Back-Propagation algorithm is the leading algorithm for monsoon prediction.
