Contribuições do construcionismo social a uma nova psicologia do gênero

Abstract

As questões de gênero como hoje são faladas e assumidas foram construídas pelos discursos das ciências. Abordaremos como o discurso do gênero foi construído pela psicologia moderna, isto é, como o próprio conceito e as teorias explicativas que o envolvem foram construindo um significado que hoje está associado ao seu próprio estudo. Após a "invasão" de perspectivas pós-modernas, pós-estruturalistas e da teoria critica, assiste-se à crítica aos paradigmas convencionais. São agora colocadas novas questões e desafios tanto para a própria psicologia e para os programas de pesquisa tradicionais, quanto para a análise do significado e práticas associadas ao gênero.The gender questions, as they are assumed today by the public in general, have been built by the science discourses. We start by approaching the way the discourse on gender has beenconstructed by modern psychology, i.e., how the concept and the explanatory theories have constructed a meaning that, today, is itself associated with its study. After the "emergence" of the post modernists, post structuralists perspectives and of the critical theory, one now sees the emergence of the critique of conventional paradigms. New questions and new challenges are now raised to psychology and to the traditional research programs, as well as to the study and analysis of the meaning and practices associated to gender.
