Abstract
The morphology and histology are described for the entire female internal reproductive organs and spermatophore of Costelytra zealandica. They are similar to other Scarabaeidae except Scarabaeinae and they have particularly close similarities with other Melolonthinae and Rutelinae except for the accessory glands. Follicular degeneration after ovulation and sperm transfer were not investigated. The external genitalia and associated muscles are described and their probable functions are discussed. © 1988 Crown.
