Abstract

Cerebral palsy has been considered a syndrome because it comes with a number of symptoms, including the motor dysfunction in children affected. One of the commitments engines is the gait disturbance which can lead to limit the independence of those affected.Objective: The goal of this study was to determine the level of functionality of the progress of children affected.Methodology: It was an exploratory descriptive study population consisted of 30 children with cerebral palsy attending rehabilitation services and met the inclusion criteria of which 63.3% were male and 36.6 % female. As the test measuring instrumentGross Motor Function Classification System was used. The age of participants ranged from 0 to 12 years.Results: Of the participants were children 40% were at a level of functionality march IV, which indicates that present limitations to meander independently and without external aid.
