EDUKASI MANFAAT VAKSINASI COVID-19 DALAM UPAYA PENINGKATAN KEIKUTSERTAAN MASYARAKAT

Abstract

ABSTRAKCoronavirus 2019 (Covid-19) adalah penyakit menular yang disebabkan oleh sindrom pernapasan akut coronavirus 2 (Sars-CoV-2) dengan gejala umum batuk, demam, kelelahan, kehilangan rasa atau bau dan sakit tenggorokan. Kasus Covid-19 masih tinggi di Indonesia dan salah satu upaya pencegahan penyebaran virus yang paling efektif yaitu dengan pemberian vaksinasi Covid-19. Vaksinasi Covid-19 merupakan program pemerintah dengan sasaran dari usia anak sampai lansia. Angka cakupan vaksinasi Covid-19 masih rendah. Salah satu penyebab adalah masih rendah tingkat pengetahuan warga tentang manfaat vaksinasi Covid-19. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah meningkatkan pengetahuan warga tentang manfaat vaksinasi Covid-19. Metode yang digunakan yaitu ceramah, tanya jawab, kuis, pre dan postes dan diskusi. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah pengetahuan warga sebelum edukasi tentang vaksinasi Covid-19 dengan kategori cukup sebanyak 37.5%, dan pengetahuan warga setelah dilakukan edukasi dengan kategori baik sebesar 46%. Kesimpulan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat adalah kegiatan berjalan baik dan meningkatkan pengetahuan masyarakat tentang vaksinasi Covid-19 dan diperlukan monitoring keikutsertaan masyarakat dalam vaksinasi Covid-19 secara berkala. Kata kunci: edukasi; vaksinasi covid-19; keikutsertaan masyarakat. ABSTRACTCoronavirus 2019 (Covid-19) is an infectious disease caused by acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (Sars-CoV-2) with common symptoms of cough, fever, fatigue, loss of taste or smell and sore throat. Covid-19 cases are still high in Indonesia and one of the most effective efforts to prevent the spread of the virus is by giving the Covid-19 vaccination. The Covid-19 vaccination is a government program with targets from children to the elderly. The Covid-19 vaccination coverage rate is still low. One of the reasons is the low level of public knowledge about the benefits of the Covid-19 vaccination. The purpose of this activity is to increase people's knowledge about the benefits of Covid-19 vaccination. The method used is lecture, question and answer, quiz, pre and posttest and discussion. The results of this community service activity are the knowledge of citizens before education about Covid-19 vaccination with a sufficient category of 37.5%, and knowledge of citizens after education with a good category of 46%. The conclusion of community service activities is that activities go well and increase public knowledge about Covid-19 vaccination and it is necessary to monitor community participation in Covid-19 vaccinations on a regular basis. Keywords: education; covid-19 vaccination;community participation.
