Abstract

Introduction: The hospital provides health services to the community for 1x24 hours. The high workload and long working hours cause nurses to experience work fatigue. Complaints of work fatigue experienced by nurses are caused by changing work shifts which causes disruption of the circadian rhythm in the body and the adequacy of different nutritional statuses in each nurse. Work fatigue that occurs in nurses can lead to work accidents in nurses where which can lead to a decrease in their health status for nurses. Objective: This study aims to determine the relationship between nutritional status and work shifts with complaints of work fatigue among nurses at RSUI Yakssi Gemolong, Sragen. Methods: This type of research is quantitative analytic with a cross-sectional research design. The population is 55 people and the sample is 55 people. The sampling technique is total sampling. The instruments in this study were questionnaires and weight scales. The analysis used is descriptive analysis and the Spearman rho test. Results: The results showed that there was a significant relationship between nutritional status (ρ = 0.000) and shift work (ρ = 0.046) with complaints of work fatigue among nurses at RSUI Yakssi Gemolong, Sragen. Conclusion: There is a significant relationship between nutritional status and work shifts with complaints of work fatigue that occur in nurses at RSUI Yakssi Gemolong, Sragen.
