Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the application of the picture and picture type of cooperative learning model in improving student learning outcomes, and to find out the obstacles and efforts in the application of the picture and picture type of cooperative learning model. This type of research is a qualitative research with a descriptive approach, then the data collection technique used is through observation, interviews, and documentation. While the data analysis technique was carried out through three stages, namely: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The research results obtained are: (1) The application of the picture and picture cooperative learning model to the learning outcomes of students at SDN 4 Limboto, Gorontalo Regency is carried out in stages: a) the teacher explains the material as an introduction; b) the teacher divides the students into several groups; c) the teacher shows pictures related to the material; d) the teacher appoints students in turn to sort the pictures into a logical picture; e) the teacher conducts an evaluation. (2) Obstacles in the application of the picture and picture cooperative learning model, namely: it takes a long time, requires a lot of pictures. Efforts that can be made are: utilizing used goods, using varied learning models and collaborating with parents.
