Abstract
The unamplified response of a vented hearing aid can be significant, in particular at the low frequencies. This letter discusses two different, previously published configurations, in which the vent response is included in the hearing aid model. Any confusion that can potentially arise from the difference in the models is clarified, and a preferred configuration is proposed, which is more consistent with measurable quantities.
