Abstract

OBJECTIVE: To compare three methods, HPLC, monoclonal fluorescence polarization immunoassay (mFPIA) and polyclonal fluorescence polarization immunoassay (pFPIA), routinely used for measuring cyclosporine A (CsA) in patients whole blood. METHODS: The data obtained by the three methods were analyzed using Levene and Spearman method. RESULTS: Data by the three methods showed good correlation. The three equations were as follows: Y mFPIA=0.967 1XHPLC+ 45.761; YpFPIA=1.493 7XHPLC+205.94; YpFPIA=1.563XmFPIA+129.72. CONCLUSION: The results of the three methods can be interconverted easily.
