Abstract

South Greenland is divided into 6 vegetational zones. A phytogeographical analysis grouped the 346 taxa into 11 distribution types, each with 2-7 subtypes. Each taxon is characterized further by a map of its distribution in S Greenland, by its holarctic distribution type and climatic distribution type, and by a chorological index value. The flora of S Greenland is compared with that of adjacent areas in Greenland; its affinities to the floras of Europe and North America shows a slight predominance of the American elements.-from Author
