Abstract

The interview given by Michel Dobry comes back to the controversy over the question of "French fascism", which was recently raised again in an anthology under his direction. He discusses the original form of the book, which combines debates, reviews and unpublished work. Dobry responds to the question of how to identify the "thesis" he contests, before going on to tackle the problems of historical causality, the use by the social sciences of categories indigenous to classification and the question of which approaches that are likely to advance our knowledge of a subject that is widely studied but still highly controversial.
