Abstract

The Lagrangian Flamelet Model was formulated as a combustion model for large-eddy simulations of turbulent jet diffusion flames. The model was applied in a large-eddy simulation of a turbulent methane/air flame. Results were compared with experimental data for the velocity and the mixture fraction field, and for unconditional and conditional averages of temperature and various chemical species.
