Abstract

The authors discuss first two clinical-social approaches that include the systemic paradigm: the intersubjective-narrative and the relational-generational approaches. They then present their own approach developed during nearly twenty years: the relational-symbolic approach. They consider the family system as a "unitas multiplex" constituted by the family body and its parts (family members and their believes, intentions and feelings).
