Abstract

The mental health of students has a significant impact on their academic performance. This study is aimed at investigating the effects of mental health issues on the academic performance of Albukhary International University students. A qualitative method and a semi-structured interview were used to answer the research questions. The results of the research study show that when students have problems with their mental health, it can affect how well they do in school and how productive they are. There is an influence associated with mental health in students towards a drop in academic accomplishment, which results in a fall in student productivity. As a result, policies in the form of programs or services related to mental health must be established as preventive initiatives, such as prevention through education and counseling.
