Abstract
Since childhood, I have been fascinated by religion. This fascination - and frequent obsession - has remained a significant part of my psyche. I was raised within a syncretistic Māori theological context: a mixture of ancient Māori spirituality blended seamlessly with various Christian denominations and Ringatū - a syncretistic faith founded by the nineteenth century Māori prophet, Te Kooti Arikirangi Te Turuki. I attended all sorts of churches. This article explores some of my thoughts and reflections about The Book of Mormon musical.
