Abstract

A new quinolone alkaloid, 1-methyl-2-[(Z)-1-undecenyl]-4(1H)-quinolone (1), together with two known quinolone alkaloids (2-3), and three known limonoids (4-6), were isolated from the fruits of Euodia rutaecarpa (Juss.) Benth.. Their chemical structure was determined by UV, MS, NMR and comparison with literatures. Bioassay results indicated that compound 1 had moderate cytotoxicity against tumor cell lines Lovo, MDA-MB-231 and HeLa with IC50 values of 6.72, 14.20 and 13.05 ?M, respectively.
