Abstract

In this paper, we evaluate the quality of a program of international student mobility and its relevance for the nation. This was an ex-post-facto study of qualitative-quantitative descriptive nature, based on the perceptions of undergraduate students who participated of international mobility within the "Science without Borders program". There is evidence that this program, besides providing new academic experiences and knowledge in different learning contexts, fulfilled the students' expectations related to enhanced professional value and employability. Thus, eventually, there may be a contribution to a positive evaluation of this public policy designed to offer better academic and cultural development to young people, as well as a more sustainable and competitive positioning to Brazil in the world scenario. On the other hand, it was possible to perceive elements for upgrading management of large scale and institutional programs of student international mobility.
