Abstract
This paper presents a low profile, enhanced performance, wideband circularly polarized monopole antenna. The proposed antenna comprises of a rectangular monopole, two open square rings on either side of monopole and an asymmetric ground plane. The asymmetric ground plane along with the square rings helps in achieving wide Impedance bandwidth and Circular Polarization bandwidth. The simulated result exhibits that -10 dB Impedance bandwidth is of 2.8474 GHz in the range of 1.6721 GHz to 4.5194 GHz and 3dB Axial ratio bandwidth of 3.6522 GHz in the range of 1.1615 GHz to 4.8138 GHz.
