Abstract
Undoubtedly the exuberance of Brazilian nature, especially as the forests and areas of native vegetation. However, such green areas are under constant danger and risk, influencing (un)directly the worthy perpetuation of the human species and other living beings, and the harmonization between environmental protection agendas and economic growth is urgent, which can be achieved by the valuation of ecosystem services. Therefore, using the deductive and descriptive methods based on bibliographical research, and from a systemic perspective, it was analyzed how the Payment System for Environmental Services should be used as a law-economic alternative for the financing of the green forest infrastructure in Brazil. This view brings together intergenerational, sustainability and socioeconomic ecological imperatives in the context of risk management, supported by national legislation, which still needs improvement, as well as promising results to achieve the objectives of the socio-environmental state.
