Políticas sociais e cidadania

Abstract

O texto apresenta o tratamento conferido à temática das políticas sociais pelo paradigma da cidadania, enfatizando temas e problemas que esta perspectiva comporta. Destaca a centralidade que tem no ideal democrático a associação políticas sociais/cidadania, propiciada pelo Estado de Bem-Estar Social. E, finalmente, procura refletir sobre limites e possibilidades atuais dessa equação, num contexto de avanço do neoliberalismo.The paper examines the topic of social policies using the paradigm of citizenship and emphasizing the themes and issues suggested by this approach. It underscores the centrality of the association "social policies/citizenship" withing democratic imagery, as fostered by the Welfare State. Lastly, some reflections are offered on the current limits and possibilities of this equation under the advance of neo-liberalism.Ce texte présente le traitement dispense à la thématique des politiques sociales par le paradigme de la citoyenneté en soulignant des thèmes et des problèmes que cette perspective comporte. L'auteur souligne le caractère central de 1'association entre politiques sociales et citoyenneté qu'offre TEtat-Providence dans la pensée démocratique. Elle s'efforce finalement de réfléchir sur les limites et les possibilités actuelles de cette équation face aux progrès du néo-libéralisme.
