Abstract

The genus Aubria Boulenger 1917 (Amphibia Anura Ranidae), known from West and Central Africa, has remained monospecific until recently. It is now revised and discussed. A new species, Aubria occidentalis is described. A secondary female sexual character is observed and emphasized. Original colour pictures of living specimens are provided for the first time. © 1994 Taylor & Francis Group, LLC.
