Abstract
Objective: describe the perception of workers of the Family Health Strategy teams in relation to teamwork. Methodology: a descriptive and qualitative research, performed between April and June 2014, through semi-structured interviews with 54 professionals working in 10 Family Health Strategy units in a city in southern Brazil. Data interpretation was by means of thematic category analysis. Results: from discourse analysis emerged categories: multi-professionality; sharing decisions and responsibilities; respect and appreciation of the work of others; division of duties, in which elements were identified that promote the two models that permeate the current professional practice, fragmented and focused on the disease and integral. Conclusion: the perception of teamwork for FHS workers is associated with multi-professionality in interdisciplinary logic, with the exchange of knowledge among its members as a mechanism to carry out healthcare actions.
