Abstract

Procurador de los derechos humanos de Guatemala, de 2017 a 2022 en los gobiernos de Jimmy Morales (2016-2020 y de Alejandro Giammatei (2019-2024), Jordan Rodas Andrade testimonia de lo que ha vivido y combatido, durante su mandato, sorteando amenazas, impedimentos, trabas, escollos, en defensa de una real democracia participativa. Desde el exilio, esboza su visión de lo que se debe emprender para la práctica de una justicia independiente y del cumplimiento de los derechos humanos.Human rights ombudsman of Guatemala, from 2017 to 2022 in the governments of Jimmy Morales (2016-2020) and Alejandro Giammatei (2019-2024), Jordan Rodas Andrade testifies to what he has lived and fought, during his mandate, avoiding threats, impediments, obstacles, pitfalls, in defense of a real participatory democracy. From exile, he outlines his vision of what must be undertaken for the practice of independent justice and the fulfillment of human rights.
