Abstract

This special issue will highlight case conceptualizations in couple therapy from six different therapeutic models. Each model offers a unique lens through which to view relationship dynamics, assess challenges and strengths, and formulate treatment plans for couples seeking support. By exploring case conceptualizations through Imago Relationship Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Gottman Method, Adlerian Psychology, Integrated, and an Experiential Cognitive model, this special issue aims to provide clinicians with a framework for translating their client’s stories and theoretical frameworks into coherent case conceptualizations that meet the needs of each couple.
