Abstract

Corrosion resistance of a nickel-free shape memory alloy TiNbTaZr of several compositions were studied. The structure and composition of the materials were determined using SEM, atomic emission spectrometry and Auger electron spectrometry. Electro-chemical parameters and alloy dissolution in physiological modeling media were investigated. It has been shown that the alloys are quite corrosion-resistant: no dissolution and high Ebd potential.
