In the customer-focused paradigm, high quality products or services can strengthen competitiveness, raise market-share, and provide a basis for long-term relationship with owners. But in most cases, the lack of quantitative data makes it difficult for managers to judge the current status of quality appropriately during a construction phase. Although quality is one of the critical success factors for evaluating a construction project, there is no practical guideline for measuring quality. As a solution to this problem, this study proposes a method to measure and analyze quality cost in construction projects. Quality cost plays an intermediate role in managing quality from a cost perspective and consequently contributes to the success of the construction project.
