Abstract

Nigeria is one the country that has a largest number of Local Governments with an established internal audit unit in operation. Therefore, to conduct a research on the status of internal audit at local government is very essential. In view of this, the objective of this paper is to highlight the status of internal audit at local government with the hope to be improving in the future Endeavour.
