Abstract
Objective: The objective of this study is to investigate the knowledge of high school students about sustainable development as well as their habits and skills that are part of the agenda for sustainable development. Theoretical Framework: Quality education as one of the goals of sustainable development aims to ensure inclusive, fair and quality education and to promote the possibility of lifelong learning for all. This means that quality learning is compatible with the concept of lifelong learning as an integrated approach to learning as a permanent process. Method: The subject of this research are the attitudes of secondary school students about the quality of education and their readiness for continuous professional development. For the realization of the research, an online questionnaire was used, which was distributed via a QR code to 332 students from the final years of high schools and secondary vocational schools. Results and Discussion: The analysis revealed students' ability to assess the quality of their education and their readiness for lifelong learning. Most students are satisfied with the quality of education and their acquired knowledge. Also, most students declared that they plan to continue their education, noting that the offer of higher education institutions satisfies their ambitions. A high percentage of students feel empowered to start their own business. Research Implications: To ensure quality education for sustainable development, focus on student learning processes. This includes supporting independence, cooperation, inclusiveness, interdisciplinarity, and lifelong learning connections.
