Uji Kualitas Semen Kambing Nubian dan Peranakannya (Kambing Nubian X PE) serta Kambing Boer Berdasarkan Lama Penyimpanan

Abstract

The research was aimed to evaluate semen quality of Nubian goat, Nubian goat's herediter (Nubian goat x PE) and Boer goat based on the storage time. The research used Randomized Complete Blocks consist of 3 blocks that is Nubian goat (K1), heredites of Nubian goat (K2), Boer goat (K3) and 4 treatments that is storage time for 0 hour/fresh semen (P0), 12 hours (P1), 24 hours (P2), 36 hours (P3). Parameter observed were macroscopic test (colour, pH, volume) and microscopic test (motility, concentration, life percentage spermatozoa and percentage abnormality spermatozoa).Result of the research has shown that blocks not affected all variable measure except concentration of spermatozoa. Semen storage time effected spermatozoa motility, percentage of life spermatozoa and percentage of spermatozoa abnormality, but it's not affected semen pH of Nubian goat, Nubian goat's heredities and Boer goat. The best quality and quantity of spermatozoa in storage time 0 hour/fresh semen of Nubian goat, Nubian goat's heredities and Boer goat.
