Abstract

While Bangladesh's garment industry is snowballing, it is beginning to face several problems in various areas. This chapter aims to catalogue the obstacles to sustainability faced by Bangladesh's garment industry and outline possible opportunities. This chapter is qualitative and constructed from secondary sources. The data came from various published sources, including journals, articles, reports, websites and online databases. According to the study, low wages, gender inequality, a dearth of trade unions, fire safety and risk issues and unfavourable working conditions are important issues in Bangladesh. The government, private organisations and factory owners should take responsible measures to guarantee a better working environment with increased satisfaction if the industry is to achieve a satisfactory sustainable position.
