Abstract

Anthropic and natural potential of erosion in the region of Brotas, state of São Paulo. Using natural factors and anthopics, erosion expectation was defined, in the field with different soils types and uses, based upon the Universal Equation of Losses of Soil (USLE). The area of 580km2 located near Brotas, State of São Paulo was used in this study. The parameters used for integration of the information were: soil erodibility, rainfall erosivity, slopes and length of slopes, to define the natural potential of erosion. In addition to, the values of anthropics factors for erosion expectation was estimated. The anthropics factors were treated jointly as a CPtolerable and CPcurrent. The current expectation of erosion for the fields resulted in disagreement among current occupation (CPcurrent) and tolerable occupation of the lands (CPtolerable). The data indicate that 65% of the chosen plots presented negative values, showing that the current occupation was adapted in relation to the natural tolerance of land use, and 35% of the current occupation presented positive disagreements, reflecting that there was some erosion expectation in the fields.
